Common Name
Type Locality Lapa do Sumidouro Cave, 14°19'21.0"S, 46°14'41.0"W, upper rio Tocantins basin, Posse County, northeastern Goiás State, Brazil, elevation 792 meters.
Etymology Greek, itys, ityos = circle + Greek, glanis = a fish that can eat the bait without touching the hook; a cat fish.
