Scientific Name	**Trachelyichthys decaradiatus** Mees, 1974
Common Name
Type Locality	Karanambo area, Rupununi, Guyana.
Pronunciation	track ellie ICK thiss
Etymology	Trachelyichthys: Greek, trachelos = neck + Greek, ichthys = fish; in reference to the long cranial shield, which gives the appearance that the dorsal fin originates at the neck region.
Species Information
Size	80mm or 3.1" SL. Find near, nearer or same sized spp.
Identification	The fish labelled Trachelyichthys decaradiatus in the trade is almost always T. exilis. Expect it to be T. exilis unless you know the fish came from Rupununi in Guyana (and you probably would know, since it was probably collected by you personally or for science, and thus labelled, rather than the aquatic fish-trade which has virtually no exports from this region at present).
General Remarks	Rarely seen in the hobby, due to nearly non-existent exports from the Guyana area where this fish originated.
